About Barsan Logistics

Barsan Global Logistics operates a large international logistics network where structured quality management is essential. When a newly established site in Belgium faced major ISO 9001 audit observations, the organisation decided to restructure its quality management processes. Barsan implemented Bizzmine VARIO as its digital QHSE platform to centralise processes, standardise workflows and improve audit readiness across operations.

This case study explains how Barsan Global Logistics uses Bizzmine VARIO QHSE software to:

  • centralise quality processes within one platform

  • digitise incident, audit and document workflows

  • improve ISO 9001 compliance and audit readiness

  • accelerate investigation and reporting processes

  • strengthen operational quality management

Barsan Global Logistics is an international logistics provider that delivers integrated transport and supply chain services. Founded in 1982 in Istanbul, the company has grown into a global organisation with more than 100 logistics centres operating in 51 countries.

The organisation supports complex logistics operations across multiple regions where structured quality management is essential to meet customer and regulatory expectations.

The challenge

In 2019 the Belgian branch in Willebroek faced a significant challenge when Procter & Gamble conducted a quality audit shortly after the site was established.

The audit resulted in 32 major observations under ISO 9001, highlighting the need for a more structured quality management system. With only one year before the next audit, Barsan needed to rapidly improve its quality processes and implement a system that could support consistent documentation, reporting and follow up.

The solution

Barsan implemented Bizzmine VARIO as its digital QHSE software platform to restructure its quality management processes.

The platform centralised processes such as incident reporting, action management, document control, audits, material management and training within one system. Mobile capabilities also allow warehouse teams to register issues quickly and attach photos to reports for documentation and analysis.

The software was implemented in Belgium through a rapid rollout of 28 days. Because the platform is configurable and intuitive, the Barsan team was able to perform most of the implementation work internally while adapting the system to their operational processes.

The result

The introduction of a structured digital QHSE platform significantly improved quality management and audit performance at the Belgian site.

Information related to incidents, audits and actions is now centralised within one platform, providing clear visibility into quality processes and ongoing improvements.

The system also improves the speed of investigations and reporting by enabling teams to quickly capture and analyse information about quality incidents.

Key results after implementing Bizzmine

  • 32 major ISO 9001 observations during the first audit

  • 6 major observations during the second audit

  • 1 major observation during the following audit

  • Quality workflows centralised within one platform

  • Rapid implementation completed in 28 days

“VARIO makes our work easier. The software supports us enormously to work in compliance with ISO 9001. We now know exactly what is required for the next audit and how we can achieve it.”

Transformation journey

Barsan approached the transformation by restructuring its quality management system and introducing digital workflows for key processes.

The first phase focused on implementing the Bizzmine VARIO platform and configuring the required workflows for incidents, actions, audits and documentation.

Once the system was operational, teams began using the platform for daily reporting and quality management activities. The structured workflows allowed the organisation to maintain consistent documentation and improve preparation for external audits.

Strategic takeaway

Logistics organisations often manage quality processes through fragmented tools and manual reporting. As operations grow and audit requirements increase, these approaches make it difficult to maintain oversight and compliance.

A digital QHSE platform allows organisations to centralise quality processes, standardise workflows and maintain clear documentation for audits while improving operational efficiency.

FAQ about Barsan Logistics

QHSE software is a digital platform that helps organisations manage quality, health, safety and environmental processes within one structured system.

Digital quality management improves visibility into processes, reduces manual administration and ensures that corrective actions and compliance activities are tracked consistently.

Audit management software helps organisations record findings, assign corrective actions and maintain clear documentation for internal and external audits.

Companies improve audit performance by implementing structured quality management processes, centralising documentation and tracking corrective actions through digital systems.

QHSE software is widely used in logistics, manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other regulated industries where organisations must maintain structured compliance processes.
